We use "Large Format" Roland Eco-Solvent printers with the capacity to print up to 52" wide seamless. The printer uses (CMYK Lc Lm) colored eco-solvent ink and can print in very high definition at almost any scale. Our machines produce brilliant colors, but the process does not allow for 100% color accuracy at all times due to color gamut restrictions; colors are also relevant to the environment in which they are viewed. We also offer creative development and support, and are known for creating dynamic imagery using industry standard files and artistic ideas.
So, let's have a little talk with outside designers about the best way to set up a file to go to print. The exact file needs to measure up correctly or your final product won't be exactly what you wanted.
In this case we would like the final product to measure 4'x8'. To produce the most usable file, that is relatively easy to email, we create our files in a vector based program such as Adobe Illustrator. Vector programs produce very clean lines on fonts and strokes compared to a raster image created in Photoshop. In either program, you will get the best results if you produce your file as follows, this includes photography.
720 dpi
Exact measurements of the image being 4.8"x9.6"
Make your artboard fit to your image.
No bleeds or anything unless we are doing a vehicle wrap, and that's another story.
Note either your final product size or the fact that it is now designed in 1/10th scale in the file name.
All fonts and strokes are converted to outlines.
Save as a .pdf.
Now, if that's not working for you, we would be more than happy to design your product.
